Custom Screen Printing

Sunburst Apparel can print a huge variety of different prints for you and your company. If you are looking for a simple one color standard print, we can do that. Or if you need a 12 color print on over-sized frames, we can do that too. Because we have a belt press that uses only waterbased and discharge inks, we are able to bring that technology to standard, over-sized and jumbo prints. Waterbased and Discharge are old technologies that have come back around to be used to give shirts a softer printing hand than plastisol. It has become so common, that roughly half our screens are coated with water-based emulsion. We welcome you to explore your options. Belt Screen Printing

Belt printing is a rare breed of screen printing. This technique was very popular in the early 1990's, when it seemed like everyone was wearing a belt printed shirt. Basically it is a 5'x6' foot screen that covers the entire surface of a t-shirt. We can print up to four spot colors with this method of printing. The best shirt designs that come out of this press are ones that don't have an exact crisp edge. A more distressed pattern is ideally what you want for a belt design. Or a repeating pattern also works very nicely. We can print on both sides of the shirt, and recommend a darker color shirt, than that of a lighter. Also, only 100% cotton shirts can be used on the belt. When printing on dark shirts, discharge inks are necessary to print properly. Discharge inks only work on 100% cotton shirts. Many people come to us for belt printing and end up doing both belt and traditional screen printing. Yet another way Sunburst is growing and changing is with the DTG printing technology. This printing technique is mainly used for sampling purposes.
